I have been to Kawa several times since moving to the area and have also ordered takeout from kawa and it has been nothing but delicious. The restaurant is super cute, it almost feels like you are eating in your own kitchen, The wait staff are super friendly, helpful and quick. My take-out experiences have been jsut as wonderful and the food is ALWAYS fresh. I will never go to another sushi restaurant other than kawa, it's that amazing. This place has since moved to 86 Dalhousie Street and has been renamed 'Pantry Cafe'. I had seen this place multiple times and decided to give it a try. Boy am I glad I did! The place is really big, with ample room for moving and sitting. When you first walk in, there are really comfortable couches, with newspapers available, it is a great lounging area! The tables are cute and are far away from each other to allow for some privacy when dining. The menu selection is great! There are tons of items to choose from, and everything is made fresh.They have everything from omelettes to sandwiches to coffee and ice cream. I chose the chicken bruschetta panini with ceasar salad. The cost isn't too bad, only about $10, but it was well-worth it! I sat down and had to wait, maybe about 8 minutes, and the dish came. The server apologized as she had forgotten that they didn't have any croutons for my salad, so she gave me extra bacon, what a great touch! The bacon was good too, it wasn't that processed stuff, it was actually real bacon. The sandwich was AMAZING! It had cheese, lettuce, tomato, pesto sauce, and mayonnaise; the chicken was nice and moist, it was hot (temperature wise) and crunchy. The service is amazing as well, all of the people who work there are friendly and kind. I will definitely be back and I highly recommend you all try this place, you won't be disappointed! Lire plus

On recommednation of a friend as well as restaurantica reviews we decided to try Speekezzies for a mid week meal. We were promplty (and pleasantly) seated is this family establishment. Alot of selection on the menu but what sparked our interest was the lamb chop special. We asked to substitue the mashed potatoes for homemade ricotta gnocchi - lovely and flavorful- upgrade charges applied. Service was fine - nothing omitted. wine portions were a little small for value but everything else made up for that. This is one of my favourite restaurants. I first was taken here by my father after he had been so impressed eating here at a business lunch. We haven't had a bad meal here ever. My favourite meal is always the eggplant parmesan. It has to be prepared ahead of time, so make to to mention when you make your reservation, if you want it. Food quality is always amazing. This restaurant is one of Norfolk's best kept secrets, IMO. My husband and I came in on a very busy friday night for the excellent all-you-can-eat fish and chips dinner. Even though it was busy, our servers were very attentive and pleasant, and we got our food so fast! the fish was great and we were told the fries are all fresh cut which we loved! our server came back to our table frequently to make sure we had everything we needed.
