Hey everybody, I went to Sushi Kaika the other day, had a craving for sushi. The place has really changed, since I last visited. Keep in mind even though my recent review was posted recently, I went there 8 months ago. We got our food very quickly, service was great, unlike before. We have a young son, 2 1/2 now, the waitress was talking to him and engaging him in conversation. Growing up in Georgetown, Sushi wasn't exactly a mainstay in town. After moving back and finding more than one Sushi place in town, it was clear the town was changing and catching up to the rest of the world. Still...Sushi in Georgetown? I was skeptical... Walking into Yo-Yo's, it was like I had completely stepped out of town into another world. Nothing like I had expected. The service and atmosphere alone make this place worth visiting. Is it the best Sushi I've ever had? No...in fact, the other place in town is actually tastier (and all you can eat), but lacks the same charm that Yo-Yo's has. It's a little pricey, but worth it! And while I say the other place has better tasting sushi (my opinion), that's not to downplay this place...it's still fantastic food! Lire plus

i loved thier tempura so much. it was crispy, warm and tasty. rolls were generally good as well. However, sushi was little fishy... service... sometimes they'd bring food fast sometimes not so much. also for our table, mutiple servers came so there was little confusion time to time. but overall it was ok. Although this restaurant has gone through some growing pains, all is now well at Sushi4U. I have been frequenting Sushi4U for takeout during the past 5 years and will continue to do so. The decor has received a pleasant facelift and the fish is remarkably fresh. Servers and cooks are very friendly and quick. In the past 2 years, I have yet to be disappointed. Ginko was the first Japanese restaurant my boyfriend took me to before we started dating. I was quite skeptical upon first glance, since they're located by the airport and inside a hotel. Once inside and seated in a comfortable booth, and eating, my opinion of this establishment quickly changed. Not only does this restaurant make you feel like you've literally stepped into Tokyo (as evidenced by the traditional booths, decor and Japanese waitresses serving you in Yukatas), the food will surpass your expectations. My boyfriend was in charge of ordering, and he ordered us assorted sushi and sashimi on a boat. We were met with excellent service, and I must say--the quality of the fish and dining experience will have us be returning again soon. Lire plus

I got here for lunch often because it is close to my work. Prior to that my boyfriend took me a few times too, since he lives nearby and loves the place. I'm quite surprised at some of the reviews here though. I love the place! I feel very welcomed, the service is good, and the atmosphere is quite nice. I've never been disappointed with their food, and find the quality much better than some restaurants. That said, I would note that I find them to be a bit pricey. So overall, it's a great place! This review is way past due; I've been coming here frequently for over 5 years now for no reason other than it is FANTASTIC. The master chef and his wife are such lovely people who's efforts and dedication to the restaurant really have a great influence on the atmosphere. Did I mention that the food is amazing? The rolls are made fresh and just simply really well. I love the design of the seating area and how the booths are separated it really gives a cozy feel to the place. Fantastic food, great service. Our waitress was perfect. We took a while to decide, and she gave us space and more than enough time, yet she was right there when we were ready. We also got lots of extra appetizers. I love this place! Their sushi is actually DELICIOUS!!! I'm always full after I go here...in fact, I vomited once from being too full. I love that they have stamp cards!!! So fun!! Their signature 'hockey sushi' is seriously SLAMMIN!!! However, I discovered a fish bone in the sushi once...and upon closer inspection, I found out that the outer layer of the hockey sushi is actually fish skin! This turned me off! I wish I hadn't made that discovery because this roll is fantastic. The location is fairly remote... my GPS was going completely NUTS on the way here. Up hill, down hill, through construction zones- getting here was a journey in itself! But worth it! soooo good! SOOOOO good!!! Lire plus
