This is the best Greek I had in the Tricities. I decided to go for the Lasagna with meatballs. Had to have been the best bake Lasagna I ever tried. All ingredients are homemade. The sauce tasted like heaven! Super filling meal with a large greek salad for a very reasonable price. Enough to feed an adult and two children. Friendly staff and world-class service. We had Calamari, the lamb Kleftico and a vegetarian dish Imam Baldi which was delicious! We couldn’t finish it all so took the leftovers home for lunch tomorrow. The only drawback is the lack of parking in the area, but there is usually a street parking spot within a block, and its well worth the walk. The Greek restaurant Stepho's, which is just down the street, is much more popular than Taki's, but in my opinion Taki's is far superior. I know Stepho's is really cheap and they give you a ton of food but Taki's is by no means expensive and the quality of the food is much better. Take my advice and avoid the long lines at Stepho's for a seat at Taki's. Lire plus

Maria's is a Kitsilano institution. The atmosphere is everything you would expect a Greek restaurant to offer complete with pictures of Greek scenery adorning the walls. The food is really good and even my wife who is not the biggest fan of Greek food loves the food at Maria's. I usually have what I had on our most recent visit...one of the souvlaki dinners. Our most recent trip I had chicken souvlaki and the chicken was perfectly tender and the potatoes and rice were great too. Next time you have a hankering for Greek food visit Maria's Taverna on 4th!
